From Kerala to Kuwait: Good Things Come to Those Who Play

Kerala Accountant Wins First SURE1 Raffle

A simple, spontaneous decision has changed the life of Vysakh Karattummal, an Indian expatriate working in Saudi Arabia, who became the first to secure an AED 100,000 (₹22 lakh approx.) SURE1 Raffle win.

A loyal player for over a year, Vysakh found out about the new SURE raffles while buying his usual EASY6 ticket online. He decided to try SURE1 and it was worth it.

He plans to use the prize money to settle debts and support his father’s medical treatments.

“Unlike other games where you select numbers, SURE1 raffle is simple. Buy your ticket and every draw is guaranteed to have a winner. I’ve won small amounts before, but I never stopped playing. My message to others would be keep playing, your turn will come,” he mentioned.

For others, consistency proved as powerful as spontaneity.

Consistency Pays Off

For 28-year-old Nachiappan Raman from Tamil Nadu, India, winning the AED 100,000 MEGA7 Guaranteed Prize came at exactly the right time. Currently unemployed, Nachiappan has been playing Emirates Draw since 2022, but only three months ago he began playing consistently and it paid off.

“Every Sunday I play and on Monday morning I check the results. This time, I thought I had matched three or five numbers again, but when I saw AED 100,000, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe it!” he recalled.

Nachiappan plans to clear debts and give back to his community through charity. The advice to his fellow dreamers, “We can’t say if it will happen this week or next but keep trying…someday it will.”

A Kuwaiti Surprise

For 42-year-old Ammar Shihab from Kuwait, the win was as unexpected as it was joyful. The company managing director, who first tried Emirates Draw three years ago for fun, matched 5 out of 6 numbers in EASY6, securing AED 50,000.

“When I received the email, I thought it was a joke and that someone was kidding with me. But when I checked, it was true,” Ammar said.

For him, the experience is about more than winning, “I don’t think I’ll ever give up. I enjoy the game, win or lose, it’s fun and exciting!”

Right Win, Right Time

Meanwhile, in Pondicherry, India, 54-year-old Charles Raja Remy also won AED 50,000 with EASY6, by matching 5 out of 6 numbers. An office manager at a private school, Charles, had only been playing for a month when his intuition led him to a life-changing moment.

“As soon as I saw some Emirates Draw winner videos on Instagram, I had this feeling I would win too and it happened!” he shared.

For Charles, the prize is beyond the money, it’s security. He plans to use it for his son’s education, “I’ve been working all my life and unfortunately, I have no savings. This win gives me relief!”

Although both Ammar and Charles were one number away from the AED 15 million Grand Prize, they are very happy and that is what matters.
